Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Another rumor about new game
In the past few months there have been rumors about another episode of the role-playing game series Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Although the respective reports fluctuate between a real sequel and an unspecified remake, it looks like something is in the bush in this regard. A current report by Video Games Chronicle magazine points in this direction.

However, this probably doesn't happen at Electronic Arts or - as in the case of the first episodes - at Bioware, but an external development studio. Sources include the podcast from "Bespin Bulletin" and a statement by gaming journalist Jason Schreier. The latter even claims that fans "would never guess" who is currently busy with this project. The Bespin Bulletin podcast also states that a "bounty hunter game" is allegedly being worked on in the Star Wars universe, but without being able to give further details.

This is all very vague, however, for the most part not really surprising. The announcement of a new Star Wars game from Ubisoft recently showed that the Star Wars license no longer seems to be exclusive to Electronic Arts. The team at Ubisoft Massive, which is responsible for the online shooter The Division 2, is currently working on this. It is therefore very possible that another episode of Knights of the Old Republic will also be produced at an external studio.
