Hitman 3: DLC coming, IO Interactive thinks about the future

Hitman 3 was released on January 20, 2020 and is already looking to the future. The Danish developer has always been mysterious about the post-release plans for Hitman 3, but apparently you can already smell a DLC. Considering the success the game is currently having it was not to be ruled out. In fact, in less than a week since the launch of Hitman 3, Io Interactive has already recovered all development costs. "This allows us to work with our heads held high with regard to future projects," said Hakan Abrak, CEO of the Danish company. Therefore, a DLC in the pipeline does not seem so surreal.

The confirmation comes from the executive producer of the team, Forest Swartout Large, who in an interview with The Gamer stated that IO Interactive "is constantly working on Hitman" . He also adds: “We will certainly make DLCs, but we have not yet defined what it will be. I think we're not looking for new maps like Bank and Haven Island for now. Rather we are trying to use existing scenarios and reinvent them, transform them. And this time, we have the entire trilogy available. We can rely on the past with Hitman 2016 maps and Hitman 2 maps ”he concludes.

There are many solutions that Io Interactive could put into practice. In the past, the Danish company has already carried out missions by reusing the same areas, but altering the time of day and objectives. In other cases, however, he completely reinvented some scenes. Therefore, it is possible that we will see this kind of initiatives also in Hitman 3.

Considering the success that Hitman 3 has already achieved, a title also appreciated for the excellent quality it offers, the general public will be happy to be able to play Agent 47 again.
