The recent appearance at the Game Awards 2020 of Crimson Desert, a great MMORPG expected by the end of 2021, has overshadowed Plan 8, an equally interesting project that, from what we know, will be an open world shooter with third person view and an MMO component. After a scrupulous observation of the presentation video made in-engine, we feel we can exclude with some certainty that the game can offer a Black Desert Online-style experience. Plan 8 is more likely to follow a road similar to the one plowed by the Crimson Desert. We also expect a great emphasis on the narrative component and heart-pounding action scenes, with vehicle chases such as motorcycles and boats.
The target platforms have not yet been revealed, but beyond the PC we expect the publication also on PS5 and Xbox Series X, as the team has all the time necessary to become familiar with the new hardware.
