Hyundai Kona N: the sports division creates an SUV with a 2.0-liter turbo engine
Hyundai has officially announced the arrival of the N version for the successful Kona SUV. The sports division of the Korean house is working on many new projects: not only Suvs, i30N and i20N are two long-time confirmed products that will expand Hyundai's high-performance range.

The first official photos show a Kona with bodywork still wrapped in numerous camouflages, so as not to show the definitive aspect in detail. Compared to the standard version, the N trim will offer new style solutions and exclusive details; the presence of oversized alloy rims (probably up to 19 ″), lowered trim and a captivating rear area due to the presence of tailpipes on the sides can already be guessed.

Probably, many aspects of the Kona N will be borrowed from the sports version of the i30: the main style elements will be taken over, as well as the innovations introduced by the recent update. The alloy wheels have been lightened by 14 kg compared to the previous i30N model, the seats are newly shaped and upholstered in Alcantara and the passenger compartment has been equipped with the new 10.25 ″ on-board entertainment system screen .

What makes this model different from the rest of the Hyundai range, however, is the engine. Under the bonnet, the 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 250 HP or 280 HP for the Performance version is confirmed. To manage the torque of 392 Nm, the 8-speed N DCT double clutch automatic transmission. The traction is front and the driving dynamics will certainly have been improved to offer excellent involvement, as already demonstrated by the 30N. Excellent performance for the segment: acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds for a top speed of 250 km / h. Hyundai Kona N will have the launch control system and will be enhanced by an exhilarating engine sound.
