Tomb Raider 2: New director confirmed for the sequel

Originally, Tomb Raider 2 should actually be shown in theaters in March 2021, but due to the pandemic, not only the release but also the shooting had to be postponed indefinitely. Now the makers have hired a new director for the film, Misha Green, who will take over the job of Ben Wheatley. Green is known as the showrunner of Lovecraft Country.

Until now, it was assumed that the story of Amy Jump (Free Fire) would be written. According to information at the time, it should be an adaptation of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The predecessor with Alicia Vikander in the lead role as Lara Croft was already based on the first part of the reboot trilogy.
