PlayStation Plus: "Free" games for January 2021, announcement and release dates

PlayStation Plus: Free games for January 2021, announcement and release dates
While you can currently still enjoy the "free" games for PlayStation Plus members from December (including the open world action game Just Cause 4 and the arena shooter Rocket Arena), the next wave is soon to come at. Because also in the next year Sony will supply the subscribers with some "free" titles - an active membership required. But when can we expect their announcement and release? We'll provide you with the answers.

Should Sony stick to the previous pattern, the next "free" games for PlayStation Plus members will be announced on the Wednesday before the actual release. Accordingly, we should find out on December 30, 2020 which titles are next on the program. Usually this is the case in the late afternoon around 5:30 p.m. German time. The announced games are expected to be released on the following Tuesday - January 5, 2021. The starting gun should be fired around noon - around 12:00 noon. More details should leak out shortly.

However, you should keep an eye on our news section in the days before. In the past few months it has happened several times that at least part of the list was made public in advance through leaks. It could therefore be that there will be the first indications as early as the beginning of next week. We will of course keep you informed about this.
