AdDuplex, a company that deals with the promotion of applications and games on the Microsoft Store, recently published a report regarding the use of Windows 10 during 2020. The data was collected from about 5,000 apps using AdDuplex SDK v2 or later. until December 28 on almost 80,000 PCs, a size smaller than the usual sample consisting of 100,000 machines.

The data shows that the use of Windows 10 20H2, the latest version of Microsoft's operating system, is grew to 13.6%, a marked increase from 8.8% in November. The user base of the 2004 version, launched last May, has also grown to 40.4% (last month it was 37.6%).

By November, the 1909 version had grown to 36.4% and was the same as in 2004, but in December it dropped to 33.2%. Meanwhile, the 1903 version has dropped further (from 10.2% to 7.1%), a situation that actually applies to almost all previous versions as well. Version 1809 is now 1.5% instead of 2%, 1803 is 1.7% versus 2.2%, and those running version 1709 or earlier now represent only 2.2% of users, compared to 2.4%. We also recently told you about three interesting features coming to Windows 10, already present within the latest builds distributed to members of the Insider program. We are talking about the possibility of conveniently uninstalling the Progressive Web Apps (PWA) of Google Chrome, displaying the lock screen background with a 3D parallax effect and a new screen relating to the webcam settings in the "Devices" section.
