The start of Season 1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is imminent: It will be activated on December 16. An extensive update is waiting for players, which will display the new content for the first season in the current first-person shooter. Via the short message service Twitter, Treyarch will provide further information on the upcoming patch. According to the information, the Season 1 update contains a number of weapon adjustments. The developers did not initially provide any specific details. But that individual weapon categories should be optimized.

Shotguns, sniper rifles and tactical rifles have recently caused controversial discussions in the community. For example, players are dissatisfied with the one-shot potential of shotguns, while sniper rifles are criticized for having too much aiming aid. The Charlie Intel website suspects that the AK47, Krig, AUG and MP5, among others, could be on the list of weapons that could receive a Nerf with the Season 1 update, i.e. will be weakened a little. It remains to be seen whether these assumptions will come true. The next patch will be available for download from December 15th.
