During the year it will also arrive on consoles, but Nicalis has not specified which ones. Repentance is the final expansion of The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, and like the DLC that preceded it (Afterbirth), it introduces a host of new features, including never-before-seen locations, new enemies and bosses, alternate paths, combinations of brand new weapons, lots of new items and some fantastic characters. In development for three years, Repentance has been described as the toughest challenge in Isaac's history.

The trailer for the announcement was made by motion designer Alex Hicks, and according to McMillen is full of clues and references to the past, present and future of The Binding of Isaac. The development of Repentance is almost finished, but the creators have decided to take all the time necessary to refine and test the experience as best as possible, thus scheduling the release in three months.
