PS5 is also about to arrive in India: launch date announced
The logistical and production difficulties caused by the Coronavirus pandemic did not allow Sony to meet unprecedented demand, nor to launch PlayStation 5 simultaneously around the world.

The next-gen console arrived on the 12th November in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea, while in Europe and other selected markets such as Brazil it landed on November 19th. Soon Indian gamers will also be able to rejoice, since, as revealed by the local division's social channels, PS5 will be launched in India on February 2, 2021. Pre-orders, on the other hand, will begin on January 12 and will continue until stocks are exhausted. Apparently, Sony expects a full house also in the eastern country. The basic version will be sold at a price of 49,990 rupees (562 euros at current exchange rates), while the Digital Edition for 39,990 rupees (approximately 449 euros)

"We are happy to announce that PlayStation 5 will be launched in India on 2 February 2021. Pre-orders will commence at 00:00 on January 12, and will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, Shop at Sony Center, Vijay Sales and other select partners, while stocks are available. We take this opportunity to once again thank PlayStation fans for their patience and enthusiasm for PS5, "reads on Twitter. Before that, on January 22 to be exact, PS5 will also arrive in Indonesia. However, the launch date on the Chinese market is still unknown.

At the moment PS5 is almost impossible to find in the rest of the world (including Italy). As Sony works to supply retailers around the world and quench the great hunger for next-gen, we learned of the record launch of the PS5, which a report says would have placed 3.4 million units in a month. No PlayStation hardware has ever achieved such a result.
