During 2020 there have been many announcements related to video games that will become TV series, but not only: in fact, there are also definitely numerous film productions already confirmed.

In addition to Uncharted and Beyond Good and Evil, also the Gearbox saga is preparing to give life to a live action. Even announced in 2015, the project remained a mystery until February 2020, when the software house and LionsGate officially confirmed that Eli Roth will direct the Borderlands film, alongside the screenplay by Craig Mazin, already signing the acclaimed series. Chernobyl. The film will also involve a prominent cast, with actress Cate Blanchett already confirmed for the role of Lilith.



Despite the news at the beginning of last year, filming has not still got to take off, also following the limitations imposed by the international health crisis. However, the situation is ready to change, with an update that comes from Hungary. The film sector in the country has in fact progressively managed to restart or start shooting various productions, including the highly anticipated Dune by Denis Villeneuve. Among these, also the film dedicated to the Hunters of the Crypt. Adam Goodman, executive of MidAtlantic Films (one of the main providers of cinema services in Hungary) has in fact declared that he has recently set up spaces for Borderlands and for a mysterious Marvel project.
