New 22 kw charger for the Audi e-tron 55 quattro and Sportback

New 22 kw charger for the Audi e-tron 55 quattro and Sportback
Audi updates two of its e-tron models, the e-tron 55 quattro and the e-tron Sportback 55 quattro, offering the possibility of adding a second charger to recharge with alternating current (AC) up to 22 kW, up from 11 in the original charging system.

The new e-tron Charging System Connect - which requires a three-phase 400 volt connection to work at its best - also allows you to take advantage of new smart functions, such as recording consumption based on time slots - so as to set the recharge in the hours when electricity costs less - and the possibility of integrating the car with the solar panel system at home.

Thanks to the new charger, times are halved charging at the most popular charging stations: you can get 100 km of autonomy in less than an hour. But to avoid its customers having to use public columns, Audi has developed a new program for the supply of electricity to the home. At a price of 110 € per month + VAT, Audi ensures an energy supply of 5000 kWh per year, enough to travel up to 20,000 km in the WLTP cycle on board one of the Audi e-tron, ensuring at least one full charge at day. With the € 150 per month package, on the other hand, you have 10,000 kWh per year, enough to travel 40,000 km in a year.

To further enrich its service solution for the domestic customer, Audi has developed with Enel X the “Ready for e-tron” package, reserved for Audi customers. The offer allows you to receive at home an employee who will make an inspection and propose the best solution to install the Enel X JuiceBox - offered in 3 different configurations based on how much current you want to supply to the machine: 7.4 kW, 11 kW or 22 kW. Thanks to the LEDs integrated in the JuiceBox it is possible to check the charging status, and if you choose the JuiceBox in the Pro Cellular version you can also do it from your smartphone.

In any case, for those who recharge on the road, the Audi network consists of 184,000 charging stations located in 25 European countries, all of which can be used very easily thanks to the Audi e-trong Charing System.
