Mass Effect 5: First teaser trailer with an old friend
It has been known for some time that Bioware is not only working on Dragon Age 4, but also on a new episode of the RPG series Mass Effect. So far there has not been any tangible information, but now there is at least some interesting information. They're in the new teaser trailer that Bioware presented as part of The Game Awards 2020.

It doesn't show any real gameplay scenes, but is full of details that are worth mentioning, especially for fans of the series. During a flight through space, for example, a very distinctive sound of the Reaper can be heard in the background, which played an important role in the previous episodes of Mass Effect. Towards the end of the video, a masked figure trudges through the snow and finds the remains of an N7 equipment. Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect trilogy also wore one. A little later, the face of the hooded figure with a satisfied smile becomes recognizable, which is strikingly reminiscent of the asari named Liara T'Soni. This is one of Shepard's most loyal companions.

It is quite conceivable that Mass Effect 5 - or whatever the name of the next episode - will tie in with the events of the first trilogy. A return of Commander Shepard does not seem to be ruled out either. However, the fact is that we will have to wait some time before we get an answer. According to Bioware, the project is in a very early phase of development so that a release is unlikely to be expected soon.
