Bethesda will be crucial to Xbox's growth, according to Phil Spencer
For Phil Spencer, the acquisition of Bethesda will be key to Xbox's growth. The head of the Xbox division talked about it in the last episode of Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb's podcast, not revealing particular details about it, but anticipating that in addition to the games announced as Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, there are also some not announced that they impressed him.

Regarding the acquisition itself, everything is going as planned and the deal is expected to be approved in 2021 with no problems. Be that as it may, Bethesda currently continues to work as a standalone company (although we imagine it is taking the transition into account in its current management).

Spencer is looking forward to the deal being closed and to be able to begin to work with the studios of Zenimax (the group that owned Bethesda), which he sees as critical to the success of Xbox and which he considers an incredible addition to Microsoft's first-party studios, currently more numerous than any other hardware manufacturer.

At this point we are also curious to know which games will be the first Bethesda and other software houses to be released as Xbox exclusives. On this point Spencer is not unbalanced, but we imagine that he will do it when the deal is definitively closed.
