Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is still slated for 2023: Insomniac reassures about progress

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is still slated for 2023

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is slated for 2023, but a few months into the new year, we still don't have any new news on the game, since the very first announcement. Should players be worried? Absolutely not, says Insomniac Games.

Insomniac Games' claim came in response to a user on Twitter. It all started with a tweet from the company dedicated to Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, which was followed by a comment from a player who asked about a new trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Following , a second user said, "I'm starting to worry honestly. I was annoying Insomniac about it but stopped when they told me it's not ready yet. I really hope it won't be delayed."

As you can see above, Insomniac Games' response reads: "Don't worry. We are making good progress and the game is still slated for 2023. Showing games takes time, effort, resources and coordination."

Clearly, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is one of the hottest PS5 games coming up, given the success of previous games, and Insomniac Games doesn't just want to make sure they're presenting the game in its best form, but must also find the right moment, in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment who may wish to wait for a specific event to present many games together.

Insomniac Games is one of the teams that have produced many quality games over the years, without delays and apparently crunch-free (i.e. the need to work much harder than normal over long periods of time). We don't really know if Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is in good condition or if the team's response is just a façade, of course, but if there is a team to trust it should be Insomniac Games.

Among the latest official news, there is the fact that Insomniac Games has promoted three developers of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine.
