Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the 600 horsepower electric crossover is coming

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the electric we liked the most and continues to win awards around the world, including the most prestigious World Car of the Year title. Thanks to this aspect and the growing sales, the manufacturer seems ready to unveil a further declination, the most powerful ever.

Although at the moment it is not clear what it will be called, given the presence of the sports division N is not excluded that it may inherit the same nomenclature used on the i30 N and Kona N. Spied on several occasions, including at the Nurburgring, Ioniq 5 N will be very different from the model currently available. Although the images circulating on the net do not allow to understand the shapes and sizes well, Ioniq 5 N will most likely have a dedicated aerodynamic kit including an increased wing and larger alloy wheels. As this is a sports model, there is a specific structure more marked by sportiness and more restraining seats, perhaps with contrasting stitching.

According to what is reported on the net, it will have 600 horsepower, or more than double the more compact hot- hatch i30 N. Ioniq 5 N, in any case, will inherit part of the technology from Kia EV6 GT, the 585 horsepower (and over 700 Nm) “twin” that uses the same platform. The performance will therefore be enviable, with a burning 0-100 and the driving modes, as previously communicated, extremely engaging (it will in fact be able to drift like the best rear traction). When the Ioniq 5 N will arrive it is difficult to say, but a debut is expected in the course of 2023 with a price, probably, between 65 and 70 thousand euros.| ); }
