Halo Infinite

After the announcement of the launch date of Halo Infinite during the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live show, the system requirements for the game version available on PC were published online in the following hours.

By now here we are, on December 8 we will finally see Halo Infinite after a difficult gestation due to the complications of COVID-19. 343 Industries and Halo on the opening day of Gamescom 2021 gave us an announcement trailer of the first multiplayer season, also communicating the official release date of the single player campaign and the free-to-play online sector: December 8, 2021.

Along with the announcement of the game, some real cuddles have also been revealed for the most loyal fans: from 15 November 2021 an Xbox Series X dedicated to Halo Infinite will be available, apparently already in the hands of the scalpers, at a price of 549 €. Another pearl is the Xbox Elite Controller V2 dedicated to Infinite.

In addition to being released on the consoles of the Xbox family, including the new Series X and Series S, of course Halo Infinite will also have its counterpart for PC. The official system requirements, from what we can read, seem really affordable and can guarantee efficient performance on any machine that is not too dated. Unfortunately, we do not know the resolution and the framerate of all these details, but we hope to discover features of the genre as we approach the fateful launch date.

'Halo Infinite' Release Date Finally Revealed at Gamescom 2021

Halo Infinite has a definite release date at long last, announced during Gamescom's 'Opening Night Live' broadcast.

Ever since its initial delay in August 2020, fans have been eagerly awaiting a concrete update on when they will be able to play this next chapter in Master Chief's story.

The FPS was originally supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X, but the developers at 343 Industries pushed it back for over a year so they could add a little more polish (seemingly in response to the harsh criticism that its first reveal attracted).

In the meantime, they have continued to drip-feed morsels of information about Halo Infinite in various blog posts and in Xbox's E3 livestream. There was even a technical preview for the game's multiplayer component just under a month ago, but even after that hands-on experience, fans were still left in the dark when it came to the actual release date.

When is the New 'Halo Infinite' Release Date?

As we forecast in our recent predictions article, Gamescom 2021 finally gave us a solid release date for Halo Infinite.

The announcement was featured toward the end of an interview with the developers. It turns out the rumors from earlier today, that can be attributed to a leaked image from the Microsoft store, were entirely accurate and the game will indeed be released on Wednesday, December 8.

In addition to this long-awaited announcement, Halo fans were treated to a lengthy cinematic trailer that provided narrative context for the game's first season of multiplayer content.

Meanwhile, there was also the reveal of a new limited-edition controller, modeled after the Spartan armor design, which has been produced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Halo release.

Finally, an announcement trailer also debuted for a new Xbox Series X console that is themed specifically around Halo Infinite. This will be released in a bundle with a copy of the game itself, a matching controller, and an ultra-high speed HDMI cable. Pre-orders for this are available now from the Microsoft store.

Will 'Halo Infinite's' Campaign and Multiplayer Launch Together?

Halo Infinite's single-player campaign and multiplayer component will be available separately. The former will debut on Xbox Game Pass at launch, while the latter is free to play.

While they are being marketed as distinct products, 343 Industries confirmed that both halves of the experience will be released concurrently on December 8.

Thanks to Gamescom 2021, we finally have a confirmed release date for 'Halo Infinite.' 343 Industries
