Bioshock remade in Unreal Engine 5 is spectacular

We haven't had a new chapter of BioShock for a long time now, the series of which stopped at Infinite. Fans of the series must therefore be satisfied with the most recent Bioshock: The Collection, released on all platforms now years ago. While waiting for a new game, the noodlespagoodle user wanted to pay homage to the very first Bioshock in a very interesting way: the modder, who had previously made a version of the title in Unreal Engine 4, created a Bioshock mod completely in Unreal Engine 5.

The process was very simple, as it was enough to import the old project from UE4 to the latest graphics engine. Without making too many noteworthy changes, the end result itself is truly incredible, and it surpasses the official remaster so much that graphically Bioshock no longer looks like a 2007 game. The user explains that to realize the project he simply used the original textures, in order to make his mod as faithful as possible.

In fact, the final result is very similar to what the game was 2007 and therefore there is no shortage of decidedly dated character animations, as was to be expected. Below you can see a video with the final result, showing decidedly modern lighting and reflections that are much more realistic than the original Bioshock. If you wanted to get your hands on this mod to return to visit the world of Rapture, unfortunately you will have to put your heart in peace: the user explained that he has no intention of publishing this version of the game.

Moreover, he says he only brought part of the title to Unreal Engine 5 and has no plans to bring the entire production back to life with the graphics engine. In any case, it is still a very interesting work and one that shows the immortal love of Bioshock fans for the series. What do you think this version?
