Fortnite offline: Server downtime for update 17.50 today - time & patch outlook

Fortnite offline

Fortnite goes offline: Today there is a server downtime for the Battle Royale shooter. In a current Reddit thread, Epic Games confirms that update 17.50 will be installed as part of the maintenance work - and will finally be available as a download. A specific time is already available: Fortnite goes down at 10 a.m. German time. Logins and access to the game are then initially no longer possible. As usual, the developers switch off the matchmaking system half an hour earlier. Around 9:30 am there is therefore the last chance to join a game before the downtime.

How long Fortnite remains down (buy now 37.81 €) is not clear from the information. As a rule, the server downtimes are short-lived, so Fortnite should return around noon and play again as usual. As part of the maintenance work, you drag Fortnite Patch 17.50 to your hard drive - and thus receive the new content and bug fixes that are due with the update. The specific patch notes are not yet available. However, there are initial indications of the changes and innovations that are due with the update. For example, there were recently leaks about DC's Peacemaker Suicide Squad and Marvel's Shang-Chi: It is possible that the characters will receive new skins with the update.

The official patch notes for Fortnite v17.50 have arrived. Check out the Battle Royale details below:

WILD WEEK #3 OF THE INVASION: HIGH TECH HIJINKS

Starting this Thursday at 10 AM ET (don’t ask how we know the specifics), Alien and IO tech will be easier to find than ever. In fact, Abductors will ONLY carry the Kymera Ray Gun, Grab-itron, Prop-ifier, and Alien Nanites. Likewise, IO Chests will ONLY give the Pulse Rifle, Rail Gun, Plasma Cannon, and Inflate-A-Bull.

The Aliens and IO actually produced so much stuff that they’re running out of space. As a result, you’ll find the Kymera Ray Gun, Pulse Rifle, and Rail Gun even in normal Chests now.

While you’re using a bunch of Alien and IO weapons, earn XP in the process! This week will have two Legendary Quest chains: one for dealing damage with Alien weapons and one with IO weapons. Choose either one — or go for both!

Our research shows that one Wild Week remains after “High Tech Hijinks.” Expect all the details in a future memo.
