Games with Gold: "Free" games in September 2021 for Xbox Series X & Xbox One

Games with Gold: Free games in September 2021 for Xbox Series X & Xbox One

Games with Gold

The list of "free" Games with Gold for September is available. Also in the new month, Xbox players with an active Xbox Live Gold membership will have access to selected games that are included with the subscription. Also included is Warhammer Chaosbane for Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One. The action role-playing game is included in the Games with Gold from September 1st to 30th. In our test of Warhammer Chaosbane you can read what to expect from the Hack and Slay. The nice surroundings, boss fights and the well thought-out co-op mode are positive. However, Chaosbane comes with a very monotonous level design, a superficial loot system and few enemy types. Points are also deducted for the bland story, which lore hardly offers.

Between September 16 and October 15, Mulaka is again available "free" at Games with Gold. In the action adventure you will immerse yourself in the world of the Tarahumara culture: The people live in the north of Mexico. As a shaman of the tribe, you borrow the power of demigods, cast out evil and solve tricky puzzles.

It is a hack-and-slash ARPG set in the “Warhammer Fantasy” universe that takes queues from other popular games in the genre like “Diablo” and “Path of Exile.” “Warhammer: Chaosbane” plunges players deep into a grim fantasy setting as one of four characters who must face the endless hordes of Chaos and save the Empire of Man from utter collapse.

    “Mulaka”

“Mulaka” is an action-adventure game made by indie developer Lienzo. The game explores the rich mythos of northern Mexico as players try to fight against a growing corruption that threatens to consume the land. “Mulaka” features puzzle solving, platforming and fast hand-to-hand combat as well as a story based on the real Tarahumara group of indigenous people who are renowned for their superhuman running speed.

This retro fighting game features 15 different fighters and an intuitive combat system that can easily keep players on their toes. “Samurai Shodown II” was one of the most popular arcade games of its time and now players can fight at home to their hearts’ content come September.
