The DualSense Edge controller for Ps5 costs half as much as the console

A very high price was to be expected for DualSense Edge or the pro controller for Ps5 and in fact Sony has made it official that to take it home from next January 26, 2023 you will need to shell out something like 239.99 euros. For a quick comparison and net of their being impossible to find - if not overpriced on secondary markets - the list price of the digital-only version of the Ps5 console is 399 euros while the one with disk is 499 euros, so the controller is about average of half the cost of the two or a little more than the street price of Xbox Series S, which from the original 299 euros is now permanently at around 250 euros. What justifies asking for this high price for a controller?

As explained by Sony's Sid Shuman directly on the official PlayStation blog, the new DualSense Edge wireless controller will appeal not so much to casual gamers as to regular ones who enjoy multiplayer and need very high performance and maximum customization. The password for DualSense Edge is in fact modularity: all the elements are replaceable, to meet the specific needs of the individual gamer so as to mount only the combinations of components with which you are better off. In the box you will find six different caps (two standard, two domed high and two domed low), two rear levers and two rear half dome keys as well as a durable braided usb cable, a carrying case and housing the connector that ensures a stable and safe wired connection.

On the software side, you can remap or deactivate single keys, adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks and the stroke of the triggers as desired and create multiple profiles with quick switch from one to the other for ad hoc settings on individual games or if you share the controller.
