Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could have its own Zombie mode, considering that some rather explicit references to this seem to have been found among the Activision game files, following a datamining carried out.The presence of the mode in question would not be exactly a surprise, considering that it is now a tradition for the series, but Activision has never officially mentioned the arrival of Zombie within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, probably reserving its presentation to a dedicated event, given the importance of this section of the game.
The initial tweet of the user CODSploitzImgz, as you can see below, has been practically deleted, at least as far as the images are concerned, following a request for removal by Activision for infringement of the DMCA, which is what if desired, it can be seen as further confirmation of the veracity of the question.
The files found contained references to game elements such as "Round Based Zombies" and "Outbreak", whose links to Zombie mode seem obvious. However, the well-known journalist / insider Tom Henderson also suggests taking this information with caution, because although it is likely it has not received confirmation, so far, of the presence of this mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
D on the other hand, considering that the game should count on perhaps two years of support, it is possible that such an addition will be made only later, at some distance from the release. Meanwhile, early access to the Campaign has already registered nearly 100,000 players on Steam at the same time, a remarkable achievement considering the game will only officially launch on October 28th.
