Players will have to wait a little longer for the release of World Update 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020: The big patch will be available for download from September 7th. The developers recently announced that they would not be able to meet the target date of August 24th. The additional time is needed to achieve the desired quality for the update. This time the focus is on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Players can look forward to a lot of new photogrammetry data, around 100 sights and new airports, including Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt and St. Gallen.

The developers presented further details around the Xbox Digital Showcase 2021. In our preview video below, we summarize the upcoming changes in World Update 6 - and talk to developer chief Jörg Neumann about the individual innovations. In addition, there are new exploration flights, landing challenges and bush trips in the patch. In addition, the team has announced a new series of aircraft called Local Legends, which will coincide with each world update. "These aircraft are famous in the region of the respective world update, but often not as well-known to a global audience. With World Update 6 you get into the cockpit of a famous German aircraft from 1930 - the Junkers JU-52," writes Microsoft. The aircraft will be available from September 7th for 14.99 euros in Microsoft Flight Simulator (buy now 69.99 euros).
