The release date of Army of Thieves, the Army of The Dead prequel set during the early days of the virus outbreak that led to the zombie apocalypse, has been revealed through the release of a new teaser, tweeted in a teaser clip from Zack Snyder himself. Army of Thieves will then be made available worldwide on October 29th exclusively on Netflix.

Army of Thieves was first announced in July with a minute long teaser trailer that you can watch in our article. Since then, Zack and Deborah Snyder have described the film as a romantic comedy full of robberies, inspired by the iconic 2003 film The Italian Job.

Army of Thieves will focus on the adventures of the Army of The Dead characters before their dangerous heist in the Nevada desert.

The protagonist is Ludwig Dieter. A mysterious woman recruits him to join a gang of Interpol's most wanted criminals in an attempt to steal a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.

Army of Thieves is directed by Matthias Schweighöfer who also reprises his role as Ludwig Dieter, an eccentric German safe expert. The screenplay is instead the work of Shay Hatten who drew inspiration from a story written together with Snyder, producer of the film.

As for the cast members, in addition to Schweighöfer, Army of Thieves is played by Nathalie Emmanuel , Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai, Peter Simonischek and John Bubniak.
