Saturday 4 March a special event called It's Manga Time will be held at the Feltrinelli in Corso Buenos Aires in Milan, part of Fantasyland, an initiative conceived by the Feltrinelli bookshops to explore the fantastic worlds, which will host a series of appointments until April 9 in collaboration with Lucca Comics and Games.

On March 4, at 11:30, a masterclass will kick off from title Manga: the ninth art of Japan held by Asuka Ozumi, translator and teacher for Feltrinelli Education of a course on manga and publishing, which will lead the participants on a journey through the vast world of Japanese comics: from spokon to gekiga, from 'horror to historical dramas.



It's Manga Time in Milan Later, at 3.30 pm, there will be a dubbing workshop with Emanuela Pacotto and Renato Novara, well-known voices of One Piece, Pokémon and Dragonball, who will hold a meeting on the world of anime. Finally, at 18:30, Bao Publishing and Gastronomia Yamamoto organize a workshop inspired by La Taverna di Mezzanotte . Tokyo Stories , the manga by Abe Yaro from which the Netflix original series Midnight Diner – Tokyo Stories was based. The workshop will explore the curiosities and cultural differences linked to the world of oriental cuisine.

The entire day will therefore be dedicated to Japanese comics and will celebrate the inauguration of the new Manga Lounge space inside the bookshop.

La Manga Lounge

The new Manga Lounge inside Feltrinelli in corso Buenos Aires in Milan occupies an area of ​​40 square meters and is decorated with a series of artistic productions specially created by the European Academy of Manga. The walls of the Lounge are in fact furnished with illustrations that reproduce typical Japanese settings. Inside the Lounge there are also the famous Gashapon machines (which distribute mini action figures), and many Funko Pops. In addition, the Lounge offers a large selection of manga, with over 3,500 titles starring such great classics as Dragonball , My Hero Academy and One Piece .
