Lamborghini Revuelto, the world's first plug-in hybrid V12

Lamborghini Revuelto

After weeks of teasers in all sorts of ways, Lamborghini has finally unveiled its latest creation: it's called Revuelto and for the first time it is equipped with a plug-in hybrid engine, combined with a V12 internal combustion engine from 6.5 liters – the power generated is crazy, we are talking about 1015 horsepower!

--> Lamborghini Revuelto permanently retires the Aventador and replaces it as the top-of-the-range model of the Sant'Agata house, but with a twist: for the first time in Lamborghini's history, the V12 engine is combined with a plug-in hybrid system composed by 3 electric motors, two of which are positioned on the front axle of the car and the third positioned above the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engines are powered by a small 3.8 kWh battery sufficient to travel around 10 km in 100% electric mode: this is a very convenient function for maneuvering and moving around in urban environments.

The new V12 plug-in hybrid engine developed by Lamborghini allows the car to generate astonishing power, so much so that the shot from 0 to 100 km/h is covered in just 2.5 seconds, while to touch 200 km/h in serve 7.

--> The driving modes are different and can be selected using the dedicated wheel inserted on the new steering wheel installed on the Revuelto: we find the Recharge mode (it takes about 6 driving minutes to recharge the lithium battery), Hybrid and Performance, to be combined with specific driving programs City, Road, Sport and Corsa, with the City mode which reduces the total power to 180 horsepower and uses the V12 only if strictly necessary, up to the Corsa mode which unleashes all 1015 horsepower that the new Lamborghini Revuelto is in able to unleash.

--> Another great novelty on the Revuelto is the frame, made with techniques taken from the aeronautics, it weighs 10% less than that of the Aventador despite having increased its rigidity thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre; in the rear, as per tradition, we find the internal combustion engine installed, at the front we find the two electric motors while the battery is positioned where once the central tunnel for the transmission would have been.

From an aesthetic point of view, it we can only underline the new front and rear light clusters, with a horizontal Y light signature that marries perfectly with the muscular lines drawn by the Lamborghini designers; the rear end is even more fascinating thanks to the impressive double exhaust, the rear diffuser and the inevitable opening in the bodywork that shows us the V12, which is illuminated by one of the brake lights every time the brake is touched.

The total weight of the Lamborghini Revuelto is 1772 kg, divided 44/56; the car rests on 4 Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires installed on 20" wheels at the front and 21" at the rear.

The price for the new Lamborghini Revuelto starts at €510,000.
