Warzone killed Call of Duty Mobile

In one of the many documents sent to the CMA, Microsoft revealed that Activision's plans include the intention to eliminate Call of Duty Mobile in favor of the mobile version of Warzone. The declarations of the Redmond colossus are yet to be confirmed by the publisher, but obviously it is very possible that they are true.

It is no coincidence, on the other hand. The Call of Duty brand is still very strong, but it is certainly the Battle Royale that moves most of the players. The normal multiplayer, in this last chapter, was then the object of strong criticism: a little for the contents, which did not meet the expectations of the community and a little also for how it was designed, i.e. with the introduction of a SBMM (Skill Based Match Making), far too strict.

Activision's decision, according to Microsoft, however, will not be today tomorrow and will not concern the whole world. In fact, as reported by the Redmond giant in the documents sent to the CMA, the abandonment of Call of Duty Mobile will follow a roadmap. Only China will be saved, but this is because there are enormous differences with respect to Western playing styles. In fact, in China, mobile gaming is much more important than in the West and gamers are usually satisfied with versions that are not exactly very well made, which here in the West we could define as betas.

As usual in these cases, we invite you to wait for any official announcements on the matter, which could come directly from Activision Blizzard over the next few months. Clearly the hypothesis of a closure of Call of Duty Mobile in favor of the mobile version of Warzone would not take us completely by surprise, but it is necessary to wait a little longer before finding out if the publisher is really working on such a maneuver.
