The Last of Us on PC postponed

PlayStation hardly postpones the porting of its games to PC , with The Last of Us: Part 1 it happened. The Naughty Dog home game, which already debuted on PS5 in September last year (and which you can catch up on Amazon), was initially scheduled for March 3, 2023, but the development team has decided to postpone the release. Fortunately, there won't be a long wait before you can play it.

The announcement of the postponement came via the Naughty Dog Twitter account. “Dear fans, let's get straight to the point: we originally planned to release The Last of Us Part 1 for PC on March 3, 2023, but now we've decided to postpone the release for a few weeks,” reads the release from the development team. on Elon Musk's social network. The reasons for the postponement are obviously the usual ones: for Naughty Dog it is important to publish a game that best reflects its ambitions and of excellent quality.

The new release date of the title? At the moment the game is scheduled for March 28, 2023. A postponement of a few weeks, which however will allow Naughty Dog to be able to work at its best and be able to publish a decidedly more refined version. “We are thrilled to be able to bring The Last of Us Part 1 to a new platform, thus reaching new players and beyond, who will face the story of Joel and Ellie. We hope you continue to look forward to the PC release with optimism. We appreciate your support,” continues the release from the development team.

As we mentioned at the beginning, it is the first time that a PlayStation game has been deferred to PC. Normally, Sony's Steam and Epic Games Store ports never receive delays. In the case of Naughty Dog, therefore, this remains (at least for now) a more unique than rare case. Keep following GameDivision for all the news coming from the world of videogames.
