Samsung launches new ultrawide Mini-LED 8K and OLED gaming monitors



On the occasion of CES 2023 , one of the most important events of the year for electronic devices, the well-known Korean manufacturer Samsung presented two new gaming monitors: Odyssey Neo G9 and Odyssey OLED G9 , both equipped with important specifications that will surely be appreciated by the vast audience of gamers.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 offers a 57″ matte panel with an aspect ratio of 32:9 and a Dual UHD resolution, equivalent to that of two 4K monitors side by side, or 7,680×2,160 pixels. Surely, given the characteristics, it will be necessary to have a high-end graphics card to be able to drive the display at its best, such as a GeForce RTX 4080 or RTX 4090 from NVIDIA. The display can count on an advanced Mini LED backlighting system, capable of providing a native contrast of 1,000,000:1 and, more generally, improving color reproduction. Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is also equipped with the new DisplayPort 2.1 interface, which supports lossless Display Stream Compression and a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz.
