Jim Cornette Agrees With Kevin Owens’ Decision To Re-Sign With WWE

Kevin Owens remains one of the mainstays of WWE television ever since his debut in NXT back in 2014. He also made a name for himself in the independent circuit before making his way to WWE.

For the past few months, the subject of Kevin Owens’ WWE contract became a widely discussed topic. Kevin Owens’ WWE contract was up far sooner than initially expected as it was going to expire early next year.

After a lot of speculation of whether Kevin Owens would stay with WWE or not, it was revealed that Owens signed another contract with WWE, which was said to be a multi-year deal.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about Kevin Owens signing another contract with WWE. Cornette stated that Owens might have made a ghr decision by staying in WWE.

“My thoughts are that, apparently, his old friends simply were not as persuasive as the large amount of money that Vince McMahon decided to kick in his direction. I do think he may have made a good decision. Especially because now it has become ridiculous, and WWE is losing several talents to AEW.

It is not as if Kevin Steen does not want to be a pain in the a** about negotiation over anything, whether it’s a parking spot, what to eat for lunch. I bet you, he had jacked WWE out of considerable cash to not go over there and play with all the rest of his friends, as he should have. Let’s see if his negotiating tactic goes well and if creative gets any better, or if he will be miserable but highly paid for the next however many years.”

Kevin Owens is booked for a four-way WWE Championship match at the Day 1 PPV on January 1, 2022. He will take on WWE Champion Big E, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley. We will have to wait and see who will win the match.
