Bethesda and Zenimax, the future at Xbox: Microsoft will found the new subsidiary Vault
With the start of February, the acquisition of ZeniMax by Microsoft was examined by the European Commission, a circumstance following which new interesting details were learned on the procedure chosen by Microsoft to implement the process.

In particular, one of the documents produced by the Redmond colossus reveals the intention to create a new subsidiary, for which the first name of "Vault" has been chosen. Specifically, the latter will acquire and proceed with a merger with the ZeniMax Media group. In terms of legal and business architecture, the new Vault will represent the junction point between Microsoft and the new software houses, including Bethesda. Obviously, Microsoft will have full control of the subsidiary, of which it will be the sole and absolute owner.

This structure will allow the ZeniMax studios, Bethesda included, to continue to exist - presumably with structure unchanged - under a single umbrella. All the details in this regard will in all probability be disclosed by Microsoft at the time of the completion of the acquisition process, expected approximately for the first half of 2021. Pending that moment, any reflection on the future of the next titles of the new Xbox Game Studios teams it will be simple speculation, with no certainty about their possible debut, as well as on PC and Xbox Series X, even on other platforms such as PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch or Google Stadia.
