Apex Legends: Developers aim to achieve 120 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S
A few days after the start of Season 8 in Apex Legends, the makers of Respawn Entertainment spoke more about the plans for the Battle Royale shooter in the coming months in a question and answer session. Accordingly, the team wants to use the additional power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S and play the game with 120 FPS. Fans of the title support the studio's ideas and also want a higher frame rate instead of optical improvements.

Currently, Apex Legends can already be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. However, there are not many changes on the next-gen consoles. The highlights include the higher resolution, which has been increased from 1080p to 1440p, and a more stable frame rate. Even if a next-gen update with 120 FPS currently has a "very high priority" at Respawn Entertainment, fans still have to wait a bit for the release.
