As for the television series, Cindy Moon will be the protagonist of Silk: Spider Society for Amazon / MGM. While discussing her new role as president of Sony Pictures Television Studios, Katherine Pope said:

She is definitely a big goal for all of us here, and for me in particular. I was already a fan of Angela Kang, so I'm really, really excited to be working with her on Silk. She is simply brilliant and a great professional. This is also an example of us working closely with Tom Rothman and Sanford Panitch and the Film Group, to make sure that we keep up with them and also work on an equal footing. They've done an incredible job with that franchise, so we want to make sure they work at that level.

Silk: Spider Society is in development for Prime Video and will be written and produced by The Walking Dead's Angela Kang, who will also serve as showrunner on the project. Following the announcement of Silk: Spider Society, Kang shared her excitement about the series on social media. Amazon describes Silk: Spider Society as follows:

Based on characters created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, Silk: Spider Society is inspired by Marvel comics and follows Cindy Moon, a Korean-American woman bitten by the same spider who bit Peter Parker, as he escapes from prison and searches for his missing family to become the superhero known as Silk.
