Star Trek Discovery: The start date for Season 4 has finally been set

Star Trek Discovery

It has been certain for some time that the starting signal for Season 4 of the TV series Star Trek: Discovery should be given in the course of this year. However, there was no specific date - until now. Because recently the big Star Trek Day took place for the anniversary of the franchise, which is now 55 years old. In addition to details on some other projects, Paramount also announced the start date for the fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery.

Accordingly, the new episodes of the series will be shown in the US from November 18, 2021 on Paramount +. In Germany, the series runs on the streaming service Netflix and is usually launched one day later. Whether that will be the case this time too has not yet been finalized - even if it is very likely. In addition, Paramount has published an official preview of the story, which is rather vague, but at least gives a certain foretaste of the expected events.

"Captain Burnham and her crew of the USS Discovery see themselves with a threat The worlds of the Federation and those who do not belong are all feeling its effects. They must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all. "

Suitable for this: This is what you can expect from Netflix in September 2021

Of course, Sonequa Martin-Green in her role as Captain Burnham and Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets) will be there again ), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly).

Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Paramount+ announced the Season 4 premiere date for Star Trek: Discovery on Wednesday. The show will return on the streaming service Nov. 18.

The streaming service made the announcement on a live-streaming panel Wednesday commemorating Star Trek Day. Plot details are still vague.

A Paramount+ press release divulged only that Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the Discovery face 'a threat unlike any they've ever encountered' and that Federation and non-Federation worlds 'must confront the unknown and work together.' Star Trek: Discovery also stars Anthony Rapp, Wilson Cruz, Doug Jones, Mary Wiseman, David Ajala and Blu del Barrio.

As part of Star Trek Day, Paramount+ also presented a panel for its animated series Star Trek: Prodigy. Produced by Nickelodeon and CBS Studios' Eye Animation, Prodigy is intended for younger audiences and premieres Oct. 28.

Ella Purnell, Jimmi Simpson, John Noble, Dee Bradley Baker, Jason Mantzoukas, Brett Gray, Angus Imrie and Rylee Alazraqui also provide voices.
