Horizon Zero Dawn: This is what the game looks like in 8K with ray tracing

Horizon Zero Dawn

Even if Horizon Zero Dawn already looks fantastic on PC and PS4, the Digital Dreams team has dealt with the game in order to get the full maximum of graphics from the title of Guerrilla Games on PC. The result is a video that shows Horizon Zero Dawn in 8K. In addition, ray tracing effects are displayed with ReShade, which is not exactly the same as hardware ray tracing - but the optical quality is improved nonetheless.

Getting Horizon Zero Dawn up and running with these settings also requires a lot of computing power. An ASUS TUF RTX 3090, 32GB RAM and an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X were used for the video. The game has also been available for PC since August 2020. Before that, the title was only available exclusively on PS4 since 2017. At the moment Guerrilla Games is working on the successor, which will go on sale as Horizon Forbidden West. However, the game was probably postponed to 2022. Here, too, a release is initially planned for PS5 and PS4 only. The makers have not yet spoken about a PC implementation.

The takeover of Nixxes Software last month made it clear that Sony will also publish further projects for the PC in the future. The team will mainly take care of porting Sony titles. Which titles are on the agenda here has not yet been revealed. So far, Horizon Zero Dawn (buy now € 16.12 / € 44.99) and Days Gone have been implemented for the PC, Death Stranding was not developed by Sony, but it was the publisher for the original PS4-exclusive version.

Horizon Zero Dawn Fan Is 3D Printing Beautiful Machine Figures

Features

Published on August 4, 2021 Andrew McMahon

Despite the fact that they’re machines, there is no denying that Horizon Zero Dawn is home to some pretty beautiful creatures. These include everything from majestic deer-like mounts to terrifying building-sized birds.

In order to truly put into scope just how cool these machines look, one fan has been going out of their way to bring them to life via 3D printing.

As you can see in their most recent post to the Horizon Zero Dawn subreddit below, user MarkelangeloStudios has been hard at work over the past couple of months creating figures of everyone’s favorite machines from the game.

As you can see from their most recent post, which features all of the rideable mounts from Horizon Zero Dawn, there’s plenty of detail and color to each figure. Alongside the one you see above, MarkelangeloStudios has also posted some other examples to the subreddit, which include figures of a Snapmaw, Shellwalker, and Ravager.

Which one of them is your favorite? Be sure to let us know in the comments section. While you’re here, we’ve also got plenty of related Horizon Zero Dawn-related content for you to pursue down below, including plenty of guides, news, features, and quizzes for the game.
