UFOs in Fortnite
While Season 6 of Fortnite is slowly but surely drawing to a close, there are increasing indications that aliens will soon be visiting the world of the Battle Royale shooter. The first signs of this appeared some time ago in the form of a huge crop circle in Colossal Crops. In the meantime, the aliens are no longer so subtle - and even kidnap individual players.At first there were only unconfirmed rumors that caused a lot of skepticism. But there are now several videos that show such a kidnapping and thus provide the necessary evidence. As can be seen in a video from GameXplosion, the kidnapping by the aliens begins with a player being followed across the entire map by a bright beam of light. After a while, this beam focuses exactly on the character and slowly pulls it into the air and thus in the direction of the UFO, which cannot be identified more closely. After that, the figure seems to shift into another dimension for a short time before it comes to again a little later at another point on the map. The highlight: After the kidnapping, the affected player has fully charged shields again - even if they were previously badly damaged.

It is not yet known whether there is a specific system behind the kidnappings. Right now it seems like everything happens at random. In addition, of course, the question arises what the next stage of this alien invasion will look like and when it will take place. According to current plans, Season 6 of Fortnite (buy now 37.95 €) ends on June 8th, 2021 - so next week.

EpicAliens have arrived in Fortnite as of today, and they are…surprisingly nice?
A new patch has introduced a mechanic into Fortnite ahead of season 7, which is going to be hugely alien focused, where players can now be abducted during matches by actual UFOs that have been set loose on the map.
Periodically, players may find themselves with a beam of light shined on them, and then they will be sucked into the air and then wake up somewhere random with full health and shields. You can see this happening in the video below:
There does not seem to be an exact trigger for this. Reportedly, this is mostly happening in the area near the center of the map, Risky Reels, The Spire, places like that. But it’s possible this only happens a certain number of times a game, and you may not be “chosen” to receive the blessing of full heals from the aliens.
From what I can tell, we cannot really get a good look at the ship that’s abducting us, as this mechanic is more or less just a disorienting beam of light. I went and waited at Risky Reels staring at the sky for ten minutes just now, fending off people so I could maintain my position there, but I was not chosen. Still, this is happening en masse, and you may experience it in game.
There does not appear to be a season ending live event for season 6 of Fortnite, though it’s possible there may be another “intro quest” the way we saw with the beginning of this season with Jonesy and The Foundation. I’m not sure if the aliens will escalate in any way before the end of the season, but that’s only in a few days now.
I would not expect to get a good look at the aliens until one (at least one) shows up in the battle pass, no doubt. Fortnite also appears to be hinting at a Loki skin on the way, so it’s possible that may be in the battle pass too. There’s usually at least one licensed skin in battle passes nowadays.
We also don’t know what the aliens want and how they might transform the map for next season. My guess is that we may see an alien mothership as a POI, but that’s not based on a leak, just common sense.
