The Boys 3 will star Laurie Holden, the actress many of you will remember for her role on The Walking Dead. Holden will play the role of the Crimson Countess.

This is a character that comes from the comic strip by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and who is closely related to that of Soldier Boy, brought to the screen by Jensen Ackles in The Boys 3: the two heroes are part of the same team.

Laurie Holden. Laurie Holden joins the new entries announced a few days ago, again for the third season of The Boys, namely Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler and Miles Gaston Villanueva, who we will find in the role of Gunpowder, Blue Hawk and Supersonic respectively.

Filming for The Boys 3 has already begun, but the new season of the show produced by Amazon does not yet have a release date on the Prime Video streaming platform.

‘The Boys’ Season 3 Casts Laurie Holden in Recurring Role (EXCLUSIVE)

Laurie Holden is joining “The Boys” Season 3 at Amazon in a recurring role, Variety has learned exclusively.


Holden will portray the supe known as Crimson Countess. She joins other recently announced recurring cast members Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, and Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk.


Holden is perhaps best known for her role in the megahit zombie apocalypse series “The Walking Dead,” on which she played the character Andrea for three seasons. Her other notable TV appearances include major roles on “The Americans,” “The X-Files,” and “The Shield.” On the film side, she has been in projects such as “Dragged Across Concrete,” “Arctic Dogs,” “The Majestic,” and “Silent Hill.” She also lent her voice to the animated film “Fireheart.”


She is repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.


“The Boys” stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, and Antony Starr. It is based on the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film.


“The Boys” has proven to be a breakout hit for Amazon, with the streamer having given the comic book adaptation a renewal for Season 3 before Season 2 had even aired. In addition, Amazon is currently prepping a spinoff series set at a college for supes. As Variety previously reported, that series has been building out its cast and is largely expected to receive a series order.
