Star Wars Hunters, hunting on the Outer Rim

Confirming the rumors that have emerged over the last few weeks, Lucasfilm Games has finally presented a further videogame production set in the universe of Star Wars.

The confirmation came on the occasion of the Nintendo Direct on February 17, with the publication of the first trailer for Star Wars: Hunters. The title is set at the end of the galactic civil war and moves its steps on the Outer Rim of the Far Far Galaxy. Here, a new cast of unique characters is ready to battle it out in a stellar arena. The core of the experience will be multipayer team battles in real time, which will feature great bounty hunters, imperials and rebels.

Star Wars: Hunters stands at the end of the great galactic civil war that saw the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Chronologically, we are therefore in a phase subsequent to Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Inspired by locations and classic stories from the Star Wars imagery, the title will reach the market in the course of 2021, on Nintendo Switch, but also on Android and iOS mobile devices. The platforms will be interconnected thanks to cross-play support, while the game will be completely free and distributed in the form of free to play. On the hybrid console, it will not be necessary to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to play it.

Leading the development is the team of Zynga, former authors of the famous FarmVille. At the moment, we have no official confirmation of the rumored return of Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic.
