SNK took advantage of the new edition of the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable to reveal the news regarding two of its fighting games: Samurai Shodown, already available on the market, and The King of Fighters XV, out this year.

To begin with, we discover that the first fighter in Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3, Cham Cham, will be made available via DLC on March 16th. Tam Tam's energetic and optimistic sister made her first appearance in Samurai Shodown, and now she is preparing toa> arrive in the last chapter of the series anticipated by the trailer that you can see at the opening of the news. Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 will continue soon with three more characters, including Hibiki Takane from The Last Blade 2 and a mysterious character coming from Guilty Gear. Samurai Shodown is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Meanwhile, the reveal of The King of Fighter XV roster continues. After introducing us to Joe Higashi ,, Benimaru Nikaido, Meitenkun, Shun’ei, Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi, SNK introduces Chizuru Kagura, who together with the last two makes up Team Sacred Treasures. The King of Fighters XV, remember, is expected in 2021 but the target platforms have not yet been revealed.

The Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable is airing and SNK had a few announcements for Samurai Shodown and The King of Fighters XV.

The Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable is currently airing and SNK had a few announcements to make for Samurai Shodown and The King of Fighters XV.


First of all, we get to take a look at the gameplay of the previously-announced new DLC character for Samurai Shodown, Cham Cham.


Secondly, producer Yasuyuki Oda announced that another DLC character will be from the Guilty Gear series as part of a new collaboration.


Thirdly, we get a reminder the Xbox Series X|S version of the game is coming on March 16 (this was already announced before).


Moving on to King of Fighters XV, a returning character has been announced and it’s Chizuru Kagura, on top of that, we learn that she’ll be part of Team Sacred Treasures with Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi.

The King of Fighters XV is slated for release in 2021, but we don’t yet know which platforms it will support.
