Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection
After thirty-five years from his arrival in the arcade, Tokuro Fujiwara has confirmed the secret of Arthur's underwear, in an interview with Polygon for the launch of Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection.Arthur is the absolute protagonist of the Ghosts' n Goblins series since the first episode. When he is stripped of his armor, ours shows off some glamorous polka dot underwear (mostly boxers, but underwear is more poetic). At least that's what we believed until Fujiwara revealed that those red dots are actually strawberries.
Fujiwara: "There is a key detail that I want to share that people may not know: the pattern on her underwear is made of strawberries."
As if the shocking revelation wasn't enough , Fujiwara also wanted to explain who gave them to the knight: "Those underpants are not simply a piece of clothing that Arthur loves to wear, but they are a gift from the princess thought of as an amulet to protect him in battle. I can say with certainty that the princess was particularly proud of the strawberry pattern. "
Actually in Arthur's more recent appearances, such as in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the detail of the strawberries was easily grasped, but it is always nice to have these confirmations from the hands of an author.
Now that ignorance has been dispelled from this world, let's all go shopping for boxers with strawberries printed on them, but not before mentioning that Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection will be released on February 25, 2021, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
