Anthem: The days of the online shooter could soon be numbered
In the past few months, the online shooter Anthem had become very quiet. It is known that a team from Bioware is currently working on an extensive overhaul of the action game, which is internally called "Anthem 2.0". But the studio has been keeping a low profile for some time when it comes to a status update or more specific details. But it could even get much worse shortly: Allegedly, the final end of the game is up for discussion.

At least that's what a current report by Bloomberg magazine shows. So the fate of Anthem (buy now € 23.99 / € 56.99) will be decided later this week. Accordingly, some unspecified executives of the responsible publisher Electronic Arts want to take a closer look at the current status of Anthem or Anthem 2.0 and then make a decision on how to proceed. According to the report, it could well be that Electronic Arts sees enough potential in the online shooter and gives the green light for both further work and even an increase in the current team. However, it cannot be ruled out that the decision will go in exactly the opposite direction and thus the final end will be decided.

So there are fateful days ahead before the project as well as their fans, who continue to hope for a revision of the online shooter. This would certainly cost a lot of time and money. The executives of Electronic Arts decide whether this is actually worthwhile. What is your position on the topic? Should the publisher give the game a second chance or has its time simply run out?
