Anticipation is growing around the great return of Christopher Nolan behind the camera for Oppenheimer, a film that will explore the life of the theoretical physicist J. In these days the Total Film magazine has released a large preview of the film containing new images that allow you to take a better look at the characters played respectively by Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt, i.e. Levi Strauss, head of the Atomic Energy Commission, and Katherine Vissering Oppenheimer, wife of the theoretical physicist. Florence Pugh will play Jean Tatlock, a member of the Community Party of the United States with whom Oppenheimer had an affair. The film, described as "an epic thriller about the enigmatic man who risked destroying the whole world to save it", marked the end of the partnership between Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros., after the collaborations for the Dark Knight trilogy. Christopher Nolan wrote the screenplay for the film, based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 2005. The technical cast is made up of many of the director's longtime collaborators, such as producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven; cinematographer Hoyte Van Hotema; editor Jennifer Lame; and Academy Award-winning composer Ludwig Göransson. Oppenheimer will hit theaters on July 21, 2023 and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
