The Witcher 3 surpasses God of War Ragnarok on PS5

Although The Games Awards that have just ended have expressed a rather authoritative opinion on what is the game of the year, it seems that The Witcher 3 (which you can find on Amazon) is also able to have its say. The title of CD Projekt RED, seven years after its launch, is in fact back under a new, updated and revised guise for the new gaming platforms. This reworked version seems to have conquered everyone, leading the latest chapter of Geralt of Rivia's adventures to set a new record in no time.

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project The improved edition of The Witcher 3, in fact, it has ousted a behemoth like God of War Ragnarok from its position in the top three of the best games on PS5. The open world of the Polish studio has settled in second place in this ranking, undermining the game of Santa Monica Studios which now occupies the third position. The criterion of this ranking is given by the evaluations on Metacritic which, thanks to a metascore of 96, bring the title of CD Projekt RED very close to the 97 of Elden Ring, winner of the Game of the Year at the TGS and firmly in command of this ranking as well .

The result, in the case of The Witcher 3, is due to the reviews which, as can obviously also be seen on Metacritic, have never dropped below a rating of 90. It is, however, possible that reviews will arrive further that can lower the average of the current 96 for the CD Projekt RED title. However, it seems impossible that the game could fall below a rating of 90. Therefore, the podium position seems guaranteed for a long time to come.

The new version of The Witcher 3 has been able to bring many additions that have prompted players to take on the role of Geralt of Rivia again. Just weeks after Henry Cavill dropped the role of the Witcher for the Netflix series, it seems that CD Projekt RED's open world has never been more popular.
