Monster Hunter Rise: PC version requirements revealed

Monster Hunter Rise

If during the Tokyo Game Show 2021 the release date of Monster Hunter Rise for PC was announced, Capcom took a few more days to be able to reveal the first technical requirements necessary to be able to run the title. And (definitely surprisingly) they are quite light and will allow more people to enjoy the new chapter of the series.

While not definitive requirements, counting the release of the game in January 2022, PC players will not have to necessarily update your hardware in order to play Monster Hunter Rise. As reported on the Steam page, in fact, at the moment the technical specifications are reserved to reproduce the title at 1080p and 30 frames per second. Let's see them in detail a little further down.

1080p, 30fps, Low graphics details:

Operating system: Windows 10 Processor: Intel® Core ™ i3-4130 or Core ™ i5-3470 or AMD FX ™ -6100 Memory: 8GB RAM Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 1030 (DDR4) or AMD Radeon ™ RX 550 DirectX: Version 12 Network: Broadband Internet Connection Memory: 23GB Available Space 1080p, 30fps , medium graphics details:

Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit) Processor: Intel® Core ™ i5-4460 or AMD FX ™ -8300 Memory: 8 GB of RAM Video card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (VRAM 3GB) or AMD Radeon ™ RX 570 (VRAM 4GB) DirectX: Version 12 Network: Broadband Internet connection Memory: 23 GB of available space Clearly it is very likely that in the next few days Capcom will update this list, including also the technical requirements to run Monster Hunter Rise at 60 frames per second. On the other hand, the development team has already stated that the Steam version will in fact have no frame rate limits, thus allowing players to choose the settings that best suit their system.

Even if the requirements will change over time, the quality of Capcom PC ports must also be considered. Therefore, there will hardly be any optimization problems for Monster Hunter Rise on Steam and it is very likely that the title will be extremely scalable, allowing a large audience to be able to play with a graphic quality and with a decidedly acceptable frame rate.

'Monster Hunter Rise' heads to PC on January 12th

After debuting on Nintendo Switch toward the start of the year, Monster Hunter Rise is finally making its way to PC. The latest entry in Capcom’s much-loved action RPG series will make the jump to Steam on January 12th, 2022, the publisher announced on Thursday.

It looks like PC fans can look forward to a thoughtful port. Not only will the Windows release include all previously available content for the title, but Capcom has also promised it will allow you to play the game at 4K with an unlocked framerate and on widescreen monitors. Additionally, the PC version will feature optimized keyboard and mouse controls and much sharper textures than you’ll find on the Switch release. Lastly, Monster Hunter Rise’s upcoming Sunbreak expansion will arrive on both Switch and PC sometime in the summer of 2022.

Ahead of the game’s January 12th release date, Capcom will release a Steam demo of Monster Hunter Rise on October 13th. It will include all 14 weapons types found in the final game, allowing players to get a good sense of what Rise is all about.
