The presentation of Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro did not see only the two new top of the range of the Chinese house as protagonists. Announced for the Chinese market at the event dedicated to Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi Pad 5 is an Android tablet designed for productivity and entertainment. Its arrival on the national territory will surely make the fans of the brand happy who will soon be able to buy the new tablet with an aggressive price and interesting technical characteristics from the official sales channels.

Xiaomi Pad 5 has an 11 ″ display with WQHD + resolution capable of reaching 120Hz refresh rate and supporting the display of Dolby Vision HDR content. The multimedia experience is enriched by the presence of four speakers with Dolby Atmos certification.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC is installed under the body, more than capable of carrying out any type of operation that may be required from the tablet. Xiaomi, also allowing users to enjoy a great gaming experience between watching a movie and editing a document or browsing the web. The 8720mAh battery supports fast charging up to 33W.

Speaking of documents, Xiaomi Pad 5 natively supports the scanning of texts via the 13MP camera, files that can then be easily edited thanks to the Xiaomi Smart Pen , which supports 4096 different pressure levels and has a sampling rate of 240Hz for maximum responsiveness. Video calls for school or work will not be a problem, thanks to the integrated 8MP front camera.

Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available from 23 September in the 6GB / 128GB configuration on mi.com and at the Mi Stores Italia at the price of 399.90 euros.

Starting at 9: 00 it will be possible to buy it on mi.com at an early bird price of 299.90 euros valid for 24h (while stocks last) or starting from 18:00 on September 30th bundled with Xiaomi Smart Pen. Xiaomi Smart Pen can also be purchased separately at the price of 99.90 euros starting from September 30th.

Week 32 in review: New Galaxy foldables, Xiaomia> Mix 4 and Honor Magic3 series debut

Another week down, and it was a busy one so let's recap. Samsung's Unpacked event brought us the new and improved Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G, the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic and the Galaxy Buds2.


The new foldables have Snapdragon 888 processors, waterproof bodies and 120Hz displays all-round (not counting the 1.9-inch cover display on the Flip3). The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G brings S Pen support and an under display camera.


The Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are Wear OS 3 devices with the ability to measure your Body Composition. The Galaxy Buds2 have active noise cancelling and a new design. All of Samsung's new devices ship globally on August 27.


Xiaomi unveiled the Mix 4 with a 20MP under display camera, Snapdragon 888+ chip, 120W charging and a 108MP main camera. Mix 4 starts at CNY 4,999 ($770) and goes up to CNY 6,299 ($970) for the 12/512GB model. First sales in China are scheduled for August 16.


Honor unveiled the GMS-equipped Magic3 series with IMAX cinematic video recording and 66W charging. The phones support 3D LUT color grading profiles and recording video in LOG format. Plus the Magic3 has a SD888, while the Pro has the SD888+. Magic3 Pro comes in Golden Hour, Black and White colors and goes for €1,099. Both phones launch in China first with global availability to be detailed later on.


Finally, it was discovered that Google's Pixel 6 series will use a Samsung GN1 50MP sensor as a main camera, when the pair arrives this fall.
