EA Play: New games and maybe Dead Space at the streaming event

EA Play

It has been known for some time that Electronic Arts is planning another episode of the EA Play streaming event on July 22, 2021. However, further details about the process, the time and a lot more were missing - until now. The publisher recently spoke up on Twitter to reveal this information - at least in part.

According to this, the starting signal for the latest edition of EA Play is to be launched on July 22nd at 7:00 p.m. German time fall. Then there will first be a pre-show to get you in the mood for the main event. How long it will last is not yet known. Incidentally, one of the hosts for the streaming event will be WWE wrestler Xavier Woods, who may also be known to some of you by his YouTuber name Austin Creed. You can follow the stream on the official Electronic Arts Twitch channel, among other things, and the team will announce other sources soon.

Electronic Arts has not yet revealed any details about the program. However, it can be assumed that there will be news on such well-known brands as Madden NFL, Battlefield and FIFA, among others. In addition, the rumor has been circulating for a few days that the announcement of a reboot of Dead Space could be on the program, which the developer studio EA Motive (Star Wars Squadrons) is supposedly currently working on. Further surprises cannot be ruled out either. By the evening of July 22, 2021 at the latest, we should all be a little smarter in this regard.

    What to expect

There are a few games that will surely be launched or further detailed during the event, including FIFA 22 and Battlefield 2042.

One of the biggest rumours circulating right now is that a new Dead Space game will be announced. This comes after journalist Jeff Grubb reported EA Motive is developing a new game for 'an established IP'.

It was then corroborated by Gematsu, which claimed the game was indeed a Dead Space revival.

We also hope to see more on BioWare's new Dragon Age game, although it's far too early to get a glimpse at its new Mass Effect game too.

EA hasn't confirmed or denied any of the game rumours, but has revealed that EA Play Live will be hosted by Up Up Down Down's Austin Creed - otherwise known as WWE star Xavier Woods.
