Crysis Remastered Trilogy: All three games will be remastered in 2021

Crysis Remastered Trilogy

What the sparrows were already whistling from the rooftops is now official: The development studio has announced the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. This includes all three games of the shooter series in a revised form and is due to appear for PC and consoles in autumn 2021. However, there is no specific release date yet.

The remastered version is created - as with Crysis 1 Remastered - in cooperation with the Saber Interactive team. First, however, the complete trilogy should be offered. However, at a later date it will also be possible to buy the individual parts separately. Crytek plans to announce further details on this in the next few months. Incidentally, the remastered versions should not only be aimed at die-hard fans of the series, but also attract newbies. Of course, this is primarily due to the revision of the graphics, as was the case with Crysis (buy now € 10.39) 1 Remastered. Particularly high frame rates are planned for the versions of the PS5 as well as the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S - there are currently no specific details in this regard. Crytek has not yet revealed whether and which further changes are to be expected.

In any case, it is certain that all three offshoots of the series will soon be available in a drilled-out form. You can find a first teaser trailer below the message. Incidentally, the original version of Crysis 2 was launched in 2011 and is already ten years old. Crytek released its successor, Crysis 3, two years later - in 2013.

2007’s Crysis already got a remaster in 2020, but this is the first time Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are getting the same treatment. These new remasters will also be available individually.

These shooters became famous for defining graphical prowess in the late 2000s. If you bought a new PC, you often wanted to see how well it could run Crysis as a barometer of your machine’s power.

As time went by, these games did finally start to age. The remasters pretty them up again while making them available on modern consoles.
