The new “Non-X” Ryzen 7000s could arrive on January 10
In addition to the three Ryzen 7000 X3D processors, which we talked about in more detail in our news, AMD should also launch some "Non-X" CPUs already on January 10th . According to the sources of Wccftech colleagues, the models in question, designed more for the mainstream market, would be the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600. As usual, the "Non-X" variants have lower frequencies and are offered at lower prices, constituting products with an excellent price/performance ratio.
The Ryzen 9 7900 should be equipped with 12 cores, 24 threads and 76MB of cache (64MB L3 and 12MB L2), with a maximum frequency of 5.4GHz. The processor is expected to retail for $429, a good $120 less than the Ryzen 9 7900X. The Ryzen 7 7700 will feature 8 cores, 16 threads, 40MB of cache (32MB L3 and 8MB L2) and a boost clock of 5.3GHz. In this case, the retail price will be $329, which is $70 less than the Ryzen 7 7700X. Finally, we have the Ryzen 5 7600 with 6 cores, 12 threads, 38MB of cache (32MB L3 and 6MB L2) and a maximum frequency of 5.1GHz. The price will be $229, which is $70 less than the Ryzen 5 7600X. In summary we have:
Ryzen 9 7900 12 Core – $120 less than 7900X Ryzen 7 7700 8 Core – $70 less than 7700X Ryzen 5 7600 6 Core – $70 less than 7600X
Surely, the release of these processors will allow several users to make the transition to the new AM5 platform, especially considering that the cheaper A620 motherboards will also hit the market next year.
