Frieren: Beyond the end of journey, a great success with critics and audiences

Viz Media , which licensed the manga, described the plot as follows:

The adventure is over but life goes on for an elf sorceress who is just starting to learn what it means to live. The elven sorceress Frieren and her brave companions, the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter and the warrior Eisen, have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. They still remember their decade-long journey when it's time to say goodbye, but the passage of time is different for elves. For this reason Frieren, being almost immortal, witnesses how slowly her beloved companions die. How will she come to understand what it really means to live for the people around her? Decades after their victory, the funeral of one of her friends puts Frieren before her near-immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of his companions and finds himself embarking on a new adventure.

Yamada and Abe initially published the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020. Subsequently the work was serialized in nine volumes which in Italy has been published by the J-POP publishing house on a monthly basis since October 2021 ( you can get them on Amazon ). The manga has won several awards, including the New Creator Prize for the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2021 and the 14th Manga Taisho Award in 2021. In addition, Frieren: Journey's End was nominated for best manga Shōnen at the 45th and 45th annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2021 and May 2022.
