Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, the role-playing game based on the animated series of Avatar: The Legend of Aang and Avatar: The Legend of Korra, is about to land on Kickstarter. In view of its upcoming crowdfunding campaign, Magpie Games has made the game's Quickstart available for free. Based on the two hugely popular Nickelodeon animated series, Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, will allow players to experience adventures in an oriental-inspired world, in which its inhabitants are able to dominate, depending on their geographic origin, one of the four elements. .The Avatar RPG Quickstart provides the bare essentials to begin playing your own adventures. Within the free pdf (you can download it at this link) you can find general information on the setting, on the creation of characters and on how to create adventures designed according to the playing characters. In addition to this basic information, the Quickstart will also include an introductory adventure (The Forbidden Scroll) and some pre-generated characters.
Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game will use the well-proven game system Powered by the Apocalypse as its "engine", enriched by some original mechanics designed to effectively translate the atmosphere of the animated series. One of the innovations introduced by the game will include keeping track of the ideological propensity of the characters, who during the game may have to deal with certain choices or events, able to change their ideals. Any shifts towards one of the extremes could lead to certain consequences that could result in positive or negative modifiers. The role-playing game of Avatar will allow players to choose between five different eras, including the narrative arcs of the two animated series (The Age of Aang and the Age of Korra), so players can always be free to explore this world as much as possible and influence it with their actions.
The game's Kickstarter campaign will start on August 3 and will aim to finance the production of the main regulation, which is scheduled to be released. in English, for March 22, 2022 and two expansions scheduled for August 2022 and February 2023.

Magpie Games has put offered up their Quickstart Rules for those wanting to dive into Avatar Legends: The Role-Playing Game. This is based on the fantastic cartoon series for Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra.
Avatar Legends can be played in many of the different eras popularised by the Avatar shows. Do you want to fight against the Fire Nation and explore the time of Ang? Perhaps you'd like to wander the streets of Republic City and delve into the mysterious goings-on in Korra's time?
The Quickstart Rules come with a selection of characters for you to play as well as books of 'moves' and such that you can do. The game leans on narrative and story-focused gameplay which seems very fitting for the Avatar universe.
